With a client list growing daily, we regularly have vacancies available for freelance web designers/ developers and both php and Flash programmers. 

The work would be paid on a per-project basis, negotiable prior to each project. If you have what it takes to be part of our exciting team and are interested in one of the design roles then we would like to hear from you.  Please register as a freelancer with us by filling the online registration form, attach your company's profile (cover letter if you are an individual), CV and work portfolio. 

Examples of previous work should demonstrate your creativity and professionalism in the area of web and graphic design, depending on the role you are applying.  Please note that working towards a tight deadline is a must in all our projects for on-time completion.

Please be accurate with the information you provide, as we may contact referees to validate your application. If we commission you for a project and discover you have exaggerated your skills, we may not consider you again.

How does it work?

There is no charge to register with us!  We offer to freelancers the projects which match their profile(s).  In our proposal, we select the appropriate project and supervise the whole project.

1) Freelancer fill in the online registration form, upload resume and portfolio.  Once registered, freelancers will be put into the mailing list to be sent, the projects matching their profile.

2) Once a project becomes available and matches with the freelancer’s profile, we will assign the selected freelancer to the project.  Shortly after that, the freelancer will be sent a unique username, password and a project code.

3) The freelancer will  then be able to login to our Project Collaboration System via our ‘Project Login Form’ on our website at any time to access the documents (project brief and specification) relating to the project and upload quote(s).

4) We will review the quote(s) but may not accept it (the work would be paid on a per-project basis, negotiable prior to each project).  If we agreed with the price quote, we will contact the freelancer and both parties must sign the contract (kongnectdesign.co.uk and the selected freelancer).

5) Once the project is executed, we will contact the freelancer via telephone, or MSN/ Skype chat to discuss further about the project. 

What are we looking for?

» Freelance php and MySql programmer

We are looking for an efficient freelance programmer who has the enthusiasm and drive to create/ add functionality to the websites.  We work mainly with Open Source Softwares like Joomla, Mambo and osCommerce etc to create high quality websites.  You must have a sound knowledge in CSS (Cascading Styles Sheets) PHP and MySQL database.  At various stages of the projects, we may require some modifications to the files within the CMS framework, tweaking existing scripts and adding extra features to the websites.
Knowledge of creating tailor-made plug-ins, modules or components etc within the Open Source environments would be an advantage but not essentials.

» Freelance web designer

Driven by your enthusiasm for creativity, as a web designer with design flair, you will be responsible for developing layout design/ framework for the site and creating graphic template in PSD formats.

We work mainly with Open Source Software like Joomla to create high quality dynamic websites.  You must have some knowledge in CSS, PHP and MySQL database.

This job involves the creation of top quality web sites for our national and international clients.

» Freelance Flash designer

Plain and simple, you must have good design flair and know Flash and have some knowledge of Action Script (Flash 8 and CS3) and XML to design a broad range of interactive online content.  This role also includes designing dynamic banner advertisements, short animation, streaming media, intro/ splash to websites and visual presentations and related multimedia design. 
Eye for detailing is essential and must have proven graphics illustration and animation skills (portfolio).  The goal is to consistently achieve high standards in the work, as we pride ourselves on the quality of our services.
Flash game design and strong video editing skills using Premiere or Final Cut Pro would also be an advantage but not essentials

» Freelance Flash game designer/ developer

As a Flash Game Developer, your role is to build Flash game including the development process, serving as a lead in this hands-on role.  Primary responsibilities include:  brainstorming game ideas, building prototypes, producing game assets in Flash SWF format at runtime, develop coordinate game functions and creating the draft version.
The draft version will be demonstrated to the client and slight modification may require before the final version is finalized.

Able to tweak existing Flash scripts and adding extra features to existing Flash game(s) via (FLA) source file would be an advantage.

» Freelance graphic designer

This is an excellent opportunity to brighten up your CV as you will be working on live projects for lead and corporate clients.

We seek a freelancer with Photoshop experience to process a large number of image files for our web site development project.  Tasks include developing designs, concepts and branding for page layout, draw & redraw logos, short adverts, brochures and leaflets design, create vector graphics, including graphics retouching/ manipulation for the web.  Strict file naming conventions and work process must be followed.

Plain and simple, you must have broad range of skills in CS2 Photoshop and Illustrator (Adobe Softwares).
